Moving between different Alert Levels

In anticipation of the rest of the country moving to Alert Level 3 this Wednesday while Auckland and Northland remain under Alert Level 4, we've produced this easy referencing guide to help tenants and landlords work out the rules of moving across regions that are at different Alert Levels:

πŸ‘ Yes, you can move with no restrictions whatsoever 

πŸ“ You must carry documents with you to explain your travel (i.e. a sales and purchase agreement,  tenancy agreement, court order) 

πŸ’­ Friends and family who share your bubble can help you move

πŸš› You can hire a moving company that has an exemption from MBIE to travel in and out of the Alert Level 3 region

🚚 You can hire a moving company to help you move

πŸ™…πŸΌ No, you cannot move unless it is pursuant to a court order or that you are seeking temporary/emergency accommodation 

⚠️ Once moved into, you will have to abide by Alert Level 4 rules (i.e. no further moves unless under exceptional circumstances, see above)
